ASOS Laptop Case

So I got a Macbook for my birthday and I really needed a case or a laptop bag for it. It is actually difficult to find a stylish or modern looking laptop case or bag. I started looking at retail stores because you can be surprised at what they offer. 

I came across ASOS and they had Laptop Cases. They were simple and modern even though it's supposed to be for a guy. I still bought it though. It was a good bargain, just £14! They also have another version were the straps are brown. But I prefer the whole case being one colour. My 15 inch Macbook fit's perfectly in the case with enough room to fit the charger too.

Looks good as a clutch too. Perfect for carrying around campus or just going to the library. Just need to find a bag to fit this in now ha.

My Botanics Skincare Routine

A new year and a new skincare routine.

During the partying season, I may have neglected my skin a bit. My skin felt dull and lacked that glow you usually get after taking a hot shower or just after washing your face. I needed a product that would not strip away my skin yet remove all the makeup and dirt left on my delicate dry skin. I finally found a few products from Boots that have actually helped my skin regain that youthful glow that I had been craving.

Botanics All Bright Eye Soothing Eye Make Up Remover - £3.99

First of all we have the oil based brightening eye makeup remover. I don't think I have ever found a product that has brighten up my dark circles whilst removing tough waterproof mascara. This would probably be my holy grail item, can't go a day without it. It genuinely removes every last trace of makeup. It may be a tad bit too oily but I think that helps in moisturising such a delicate area.

Botanics All Bright Gentle Cleansing Cream - £3.99

Then we have the Cleansing cream. I use this product after a face wipe just to remove any tough makeup but later go in with this. It's a light creamy consistency with a mild scent. It keep my face feeling moisturised and clean.

Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner - £3.99

I never used to use a toner after my cleanser just because I thought it's an unnecessary step to keeping clean and clear skin. Although after buying it on a 3 for 2 offer I had to use it. The toner is not drying at all and defiantly removes every last dirt trapped in the pores.

Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day Cream - £4.99

I finish off my skin routine with the hydrating day cream. The smell of this is light and subtle which is perfect and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I usually have a problem with branded day creams because my eczema prone skin is always irritated by them or it's just not hydrating enough. But after a long day at university, my skin doesn't need another layer of cream to keep me going through the day.

Review- Killer Queen Perfume by Katy Perry.

Anything from Katy Perry in my opinion is amazing. First her false lashes by Eylure and now her perfumes. I recently bought her new perfume Killer Queen from Boots. 

Top Notes: Wild Berry, Dark Plum & Bergamot

Middle Notes: Red Velvet Flower, Natural Jasmine Sambac & Rainbow PlumeriaBase Notes: Cashmeran, Natural Patchouli Heart & Liquid Praline

I love the smell of this. It's just the right amount of fruity-ness for day and night time. It smells almost like her other perfumes but it still has a distinctive smell from the others.

I got it for £12.99 for 50ml, when it's usually £26.09 in Boots. Always look out for deals after Christmas, you'll always find a good deal.

Review -Sleek Ultra Matte V2 Palette

Look what I got my hands on!

I'm not the one for shimmery colours and glitter. I'm very much into dark colours and they have to be matte. Even when I'm putting my foundation, contour and even blush, I prefer it to be all Matte. It's just what I find to be beautiful.

Pigmentation: Amazing

Variety of colour: Enough dark shades and light shades to create a smokey effect for day or night.

Verdict: I love it, even though I'm not a huge eyeshadow person.

I am sure to buy other palettes like the 'Shadow Storm' and the 'Au Naturel'. Perfect shades for day and evening, just be careful on the colour combinations you choose.

Review -Maybelline 24Hr Colour Tattoo

I know I'm a bit late but I recently got these three amazing eye shadow's from the Maybelline Colour Tattoo range. I got them in the shade 'On and On Bronze', 'Pomegranate' and 'Permanent Taupe'. They were also on a 3 for 2 deal in Boots. Individually they are £4.99. 

 

I actually bought these shades is because they can easily be worn everyday. The On and On Bronze can be used as an inner eye highlight, the Pomegranate as a base shade and the Permanent Taupe as a blending shade. A good autumnal night out look. 

The colour pay off is actually amazing. Very creamy and full of colour. Apparently they are also a good dupe for the MAC Paint Pots. Affordable and amazing. 

As you can see, in photo's the colour is still vibrant and doesn't get lost. I don't know how more highly I can talk about it haa. Let me know what colour you've tried and recommend, I think I need to get the Eternal gold as this can be another alternative highlight for the eyes.

Review - Maybelline Baby Lips

I know I haven't been blogging a lot, it's due to the start of my new course at university. So bear with me if I don't post for a while. Let's get back to the post ...

So I went to Superdrug guys. I know, it's a weakness. So yeah, I went to Superdug and got myself two more Baby Lips. YAY. They are the softest and smoothest lipbalm that I have ever used. I've been using the Intense Care for a while now and it's almost running out. I've noticed such a different in the softness of my lips when using the Intense Care. 

Cherry Me and Peach Kiss are the new additions to my life. Both are so moisturising and they both have slight tints to the lip. I don't know what else to say apart from them being so amazing! Get them now. You're missing out if you don't. Throw away the Vaseline and by yourself some Baby Lips.

Barry M Gelly Nail Polish Review

If you read my Superdrug haul you'd know that I recently bought Barry M's Gelly Nail Polish in the shades 'Blood Orange' and 'Lychee'. I tried them both out for a whole week. Both colours were out of my comfort zone, the Blood Orange was very bright and the Lychee was a light shade of nude. Here are the swatches :)

What do you think guys? I'm really warming up to the Blood Orange rather than the Lychee. Just need to get used to them. Just the quality of these nail polishes are amazing!! So shiny and opaque. I didn't really need the clear coat afterwards, but I wanted them to last for a week. The clear polish definitely helped :)

 My next two purchases would have to be the Plum and Blackberry. What shade would you want to get?

Review -Sleek Contour Kit

I have finally bought the Sleek Contour Kit in the shade medium. I bought this from Superdrug for £6.49 :) 

Every time I put my face of make up on now, I have got to put this on! It genuinely puts the whole look together. It makes your face look sleek and chiselled, especially with a chubby face like mine haa. The medium shade is perfect for olive to darker skin tones, perfect for indian/asian skins. 

The darker shade is matte, which means you can create that flawless contour without the dreaded glitter or shimmer. I find that although a shimmer gives you a more bronzed look; I'd rather have a matte finish that creates a more chiseled look. I just need to find that perfect brush to apply the contour with. I'm thinking that I should either get the Real Techniques Contour brush, but that comes with the Core Collection. So I'm thinking that I could use the Elf Blush Brush or any tapered brush, just to get into the hollows of the cheekbone. If you have any suggestions let me know :)
